FRAG m e n t e d, choreographed by Deborah Rosen explores elements of mental health. Expression through honest, self-reflection, vulnerability, and willingness to witness, listen, and be seen.
Guest choreographer, Jamie Nichols: "This tender piece, created for the dancers, explores spiritual transformation, ascendance and how the human heart deals with its memories, motivations, and temptations. The movement was intentionally created with uncomplicated pairings, patterns, movement themes with benevolent touch. May your heart be free."
fixation, choreographed by Jose Argueta, is a duet embodying the emotional connections with events happening within a relationship. The duet is separated into four parts. Each, having their own story, movement, and music. Depicting events, such as conflict, betrayal, reconciliation, and acceptance. A movement language uniting and separating the dancers physically and energetically. fixation premiered in 2020, and has been restaged for this performance.
Featuring former dancer of Tongue, Wendy Andronika Samuels, performing a solo.
